Milwaukee Millwork Presents ‘Green’ Award to UWM

Milwaukee Millwork, a leading distributor and manufacturer of custom millwork to southeastern Wisconsin, recently presented its annual “Innovations to a Greener Future” award to the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee for the creation and design of its Meltwater House, the school’s entry in the U.S. Department of Energy’s 2009 Solar Decathlon competition.

Shorewood declared ‘eco-municipality’

The "25x25" resolution makes the village eligible for up to $100,000 toward the cost of developing a sustainability plan, according to the memo. That resolution declares support for the state's goal of Wisconsin generating 25% of its electricity and transportation fuels from renewable resources by 2025.
